Development Technology

Phone development

Ever since it was discovered by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876, the phone has become an essential factor in modern life because it has enabled almost instantaneous connections with the entire world. The first two-way voice conversation over the Atlantic Ocean occurred in 1926 and in 1927 a commercial telephone service (with radio help) was launched between New York and London.

Since 1956, the overseas telephone service has been operated through submarine cables, and since 1962 through communication satellites. Today's chemical engineers have brought us from copper wires to fiber optics, from phone centers to satellites, from multiple subscribers to the internet.

wireless communication

Mobile phones and pager devices depend on printed and integrated circuits, modern materials, and chemistry-enhanced miniaturization techniques.

AT & T Labs has developed mobile phones forty-five, but they were not popular because there were no communication channels.

The eighties had a big breakthrough when wireless communications were split into a number of cells that automatically called up calls as people moved so that each cell could use it again.

Mobile (mobile) phones have quickly become popular. Chemistry has also played a role in the development of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries in mobile phones.

Arthur Korn
Fax and photocopying technology

Although the German inventor Arthur Korn electronically conveyed the first images since 1902, the first functional fax machine in which the telephone sets adapted to image transfer by a telephoto appeared in 1924: the slide was scanned into electrical signals that indicated the shadows of the picture. These data were transmitted by telephone to reception negative, and then developed into a dark chamber.

There is a huge difference between the first telegraph machine in the world and the modern fax machine, is not it?

In 1949 a xerographic machine was introduced that enabled the reproduction of the image faithfully. Chemical innovations in faxing technology include new toners and ink, modern paper technology and photoreceptor technology in the seventies

Laser and Optical Fiber

Pure glass fibers today provide the information transmission infrastructure through laser-produced light in a technologically revolutionary way. Chemical researchers invented the first fiber optic in 1970. As soon as optical fibers are produced, they are installed as built-in components.

The first wave light system was installed in 1977, providing voice, data and video transmission over the network. Today, only one optical cable can transmit millions of phone calls, files and video clips.
